After seeing the brilliant sunset at Yellowstone Lake, we headed back to our hotel, encountering a fox in the grass along the way. As we passed this valley, named after the scientist and explorer who did so much to preserve the park, the light was dimming quickly. But a full moon illuminated the valley and I was able to get a shot of its rise. Click on image to enlarge.
