HEADING NORTH on the main Yellowstone road, we turned right towards Lamar Valley. Suddenly, the cars going both directions were stopped and parked on the side of the road. Along the road, a herd of bison marched steadily west. I popped out the passenger door and began shooting, careful to keep the car between myself and the advancing herd. In this way, I was able to photograph this bison mother and calf from a (safe) distance of fifteen feet.
The Exhibition photograph of American Bison, Yellowstone is limited to an edition of five. All photographs are printed with archival ink on Canson Rag Photographique paper.
