I HAPPENED UPON a particularly splendid mornings earlier this year in nearby Chimacum. The sun was rising in shades of pink and purple and the migratory water birds of spring filled the wetlands of Bear Creek. Earlier, I’d seen these swans further west and, just as I was about to walk the half-mile towards them, they started flying in small groups to land in the small lake in front of me. There is something ineffably magical about swans—it’s little wonder that they figure in so many myths and stories.
The Exhibition photograph of Trumpeter Swans, Chimacum is limited to an edition of five. All photographs are printed with archival ink on Canson Rag Photographique paper. Framed exhibition prints use the highest grade of museum plexiglass. The series can also be purchased as loose prints—the Large and Medium prints have a 1.5-inch white border.
